Wandering in the Himalayas: the first time !

The last of the wonderful things I did while at IITK. There was nothing crazy about the trek itself except that I had a torrid time attending conditioning camps at 6 AM after working the whole night at my lab finishing my B Tech project in the month of April 2000. 'Sunderdunga' means "Big rocks". There were indeed big rocks everywhere on Sunderdunga glacier - the trek took us to a remote part of Garhwal (the Indian Himalayas near Nanda Devi). A bunch of amazing juniors alongwith Alok bhaiya, Sankum and graduating batchmates made this a trip to remember. Again here are only 'some' of the many pictures from that trek.
