  COMP 541 [160]: Digital Logic and Computer Design
(4 hours)

Course Objectives
To introduce students to the design and implementation of digital computers.

Prerequisites
COMP 411 is a hard prerequisite.

Approach
A hands-on course where students will design and build a working computer, including the CPU, video, and keyboard interface. This is enabled through the use of programmable logic chips on a prototyping board.
