Assignment 3: The next assignment will ask you to do database-like functions in Excel. I will give you the template for how to do do the join function across different tables (see class presentation of November 17) -- you will just have to apply it appropriately. I will also give you sets of data that you can use for the assignment -- or you may find your own data. The needed information is now posted.

Test: The second test will be a take-home that will be handed out in class on Tuesday and is due at the end of class of Thursday. It will NOT be posted. I you are not in class on Tuesday, you will need to contact me to get a copy of the test.
The test will focus on web, spreadsheet and databases and how you do things on them. It will be practically directed with follow-up questions about the functions that you are doing. Tuesday will be a review session on the two topics.

Final project: The final project will use a web-based database so that we do not have platform problems. Because it has a 30-day free trial, we will start working on it the class before Thanksgiving. It will be to build a web site that uses both spreadsheets and databases.
