Fibonacci Numbers

NOTE: This is an extra credit assignment.

You are to build a web site for Fibonacci numbers. Why, you may ask, are Fibonacci numbers? They are a sequence of numbers generated by starting with the numbers 1 and 1 and adding the prior two numbers. Thus the first 5 numbers are 1, 1, (1+1=)2, (1+2=)3, (2+3=)5. But why, you may ask, do I care? It turns out that they provide you with the golden mean (or ratio), which is relly important in at and architecture. And the sequence appears regularly in nature: in pinecones, pineapples, flowers, the chambered nautilus, and in many ratios within the human and other anumal bodies. Check it out!

For this assignment you are to produce a web page that allows a user to enter a number and you are to produce that many members of the Fibonacci sequence using JavaScript. You should check the input to make sure that it is a positive number and, if not, print an error instead of the sequence.

But because Fibonacci numbers are so awesome, you are not to stop there. Your page is to contain at least 3 paragraphs and 3 pictures about the Fibonacci sequence. You will have no trouble finding information about Fibonacci numbers and the golden ration; you are NOT to simply copy text from other sites. Remember to credit pictures appropriately.

All formatting to the page is to be done using an external style sheet (CSS).

You are to post your webpage on the UNC webspace in a folder called Assign10 and the page is to be named index.html. This way, the page will be accessed as www.unc.edu/~onyen/Assign10
