For Lab 8, you are going to use the same elements as you did in Lab 7, but put them together differently. You are to download one HTML file and one picture, make the required changes, create an appropriate CSS file (named lab8.css) and upload them to isis under your onyen as index.html in a folder named Lab7. That means that we will be able to access it using http://www.unc.edu/~onyen/Lab8.
Before you download the files, create the Lab8 folder in COMP101/public_html. You are to download index.html and rainforest.jpg. To download a file, right click on the file and select "Save link as..." or "Save target as..." When the dialogue box appears asking where to save them, put them in the Lab7 folder. index.html is the main page and rainforest.jpg is the picture that you are to use as a background.
The page is to have a background image that fills the window and all content is to be in a fixed width div of 1002px. You are to edit the page to make navigation links in a nav section, which is to be formatted as a sidebar.
The only formatting requirement is that no text should be within 20px of the edge. All other formatting is at your discretion.
You are to add your name to the web page in place of ... in the footer and as a comment on the css page.
The HTML and CSS for the page are to be properly formatted with appropriate indentation.
As with all labs in this class, you may finish posting the lab after class, up until 10 pm.
