Concept

W.E.M. stands for Wiimote Exercise Monitor. This project will design and implement a computer video game that utilizes the Nintendo Wiimote to make physical therapy more enjoyable for students with disabilities. The Wiimote has two characteristics which make it an ideal tool for this project. First, the size and shape of the Wiimote make it easily attachable to various extremities. Second, the Wiimote also comes packaged with an accelerometer that can be used to measure movement. W.E.M. will capitalize on these characteristics to implement a game that doubles as a tool used for physical therapy. This project will encompass students K-12.
