Paper Critiques

The list of papers is at http://seriousgames.wik.is/ at Papers to Critique. You should be able to edit it without logging in, but if you are having any problems, use login Student password games.

Reviews are due Tuesday, March 24. Electronic submission suffices.

The assignment is quite simple: select a paper and review it. You should give a brief summary of the paper and then specifically answer the following questions:

Is the paper well-written and easy to understand?
Does the paper have anything worthwhile to say or is it stating the obvious?
Are the claims of the paper supported?
Are experiments described in the paper well structured?
Is the problem that is being addressed well motivated?
Would you recommend this paper to another student?

Reviews should be about 2 pages. The primary goal of the assignment is to expose you to what is being written about games. If there are any papers that are truly outstanding, we will discuss them further in class.
