Configuring and Administering IBM's Tivoli LDAP server is somewhat confusing. There are two different administration tools -- one an application that runs off of the Windows Start menu, the other a Web interface that runs in a conventional Web browser using a "well-known" url. The are mutually exclusive, meaning that different combinations of LDAP component must be running or not running. They share some function, but, generally, the Start application is more oriented toward initial configuration and the newer Web application toward on-going administration.
