Statement of Practice
Annually, unless otherwise specified The Publications Manager will ask the three Chairs to read the final draft of the following publications just before they go to press, usually with a four-to-five day turnaround requested (more when needed, such as for the Department Brochure).
Web pages The Associate Chairman for Academic Affairs makes updates to the Admin pages on the Web (the pages under www.cs.unc.edu/Admin/), or supervises their update by an assistant or by the Publications Manager. Pages include degree requirements, course descriptions, course schedules, and departmental committees.
Graduate and Undergraduate
Catalog Entries The Publications Manager makes updates to UNC-Chapel Hill's Graduate and Undergraduate bulletin entries with the consultation of the Associate Chairman for Academic Affairs and the Director of Undergraduate Studies, respectively. The Associate Chairman for Academic Affairs approves updates prior to their being submitted to the Graduate School (Graduate Bulletin) or Publications Services office (Undergraduate Bulletin). Guidelines provided by the Publications Director and the Publications Specialist, 2 June 1998. Minor revisions 20 February 2001 by the Publications Manager. |
