Types of games:
‘Matching’:
A game where the game-player must match a sound with its corresponding answer. For example, in a game called Name that Animal, the game-player would be asked, “What animal makes this sound?” <dog barking>. The answer choices could then be “cat”, “dog”, “pig”, “frog”.
‘Category (general)’: A game where the game-player is given a list of choices, one of which does not belong with the others. For example, in a game called Food Groups, the game-player would be asked, “Which of these does not belong?” The answer choices could then be “apple”, “banana”, “cake”, “oranges”.
‘Category (learning)’: A game where the game-player is given a list of choices and has to make a choice based on the specific question heard. For example, in a game called Learn about Fruit, the game-player would be asked, “Which of these is a fruit?” The answer choices could then be “turkey”, “steak”, “strawberry”, “chicken”.
