Torso Pretend Surgery

This page shows a 3D+time reconstruction of Dr. Bruce Cairns' hands performing a mock surgery on a human torso model.  The reconstruction consists of 2 components: a static 3D reconstruction of the torso and a dynamic (3D+time) reconstruction of the hands performing the procedure.  We show torso and hands separately, as well as the combined model containing both, as VRML datasets.  The one for the torso is static, and the one for the hands as well as the combined one cycle through the sequence and have an interactive VCR-like interface with self-explanatory controls.  If you stop the playback, you can drag the slider to any moment in the sequence and resume playback.  If you do not have a VRML plugin for your browser, you can download one here.
