Departmental and Campus Publications
Departmental Publications
The Department of Computer Science produces several publications
including a brochure for visitors, a recruiting poster, an
alumni newsletter, research project handouts, and brochures
describing the graduate and undergraduate programs. For
descriptions of these publications and links to online versions,
see the
Publications: Descriptions/Missions page.
Campus Publications
Several University publications provide information about
campus life and events.
Newspapers
-
The Daily Tar Heel
The Daily Tarheel (DTH) is the student-run campus newspaper,
published weekdays during the spring and fall semesters and weekly
during the summer sessions. The DTH is free of charge and is
distributed in newspaper boxes throughout campus (a kiosk is located
outside the entrance of Sitterson Hall on the Columbia Street side).
-
University Gazette
The University Gazette is a newspaper for the faculty and
staff of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Gazette
is published twice a month except in July, August and December when
it is published once a month. It is sent to faculty and staff who
are on the permanent payroll and who work at least 20 hours a week.
Departmental personnel will have the Gazette delivered to their
mailboxes. The Gazette is prepared by the Office of Internal
Communications of the Division of University Advancement.
Research Publications
-
Endeavors Magazine
Endeavors magazine focuses on research and creative activity
at UNC-Chapel Hill. It is published three times a year by the
Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Research. Faculty
routinely receive copies of Endeavors, which is delivered via
campus mail to their mailboxes. Others must request to be added to
the mailing list. The online edition includes all the stories from the
print version, as well as some special web features such as a readers'
forum and links to related sites.
