  Video Library Instructions

Organization of the Videotape Library
The Videotape Library is located in 107 Sitterson Hall. The videotapes are filed on the shelves by category and, within category, by a call number. A call number appears both on the videotape spine label and directly below that tape's place on the shelf.

A copy of the catalog of all the videotapes hangs to the left of the shelves. A searchable catalog is available at this web site.

Checking a Videotape Out
To check out a videotape, please sign it out using the checkout sheet on the clipboard that is mounted on the wall to the left of the shelves.

There is no official borrowing period. Use your best judgment about how long to keep a tape. But do not keep a tape longer than you need it; there are others who might need to see the tape also.

Tape checkouts will be monitored on a regular basis.

Checking a Videotape Back In
When you have finished with a videotape, please bring it back to 107 Sitterson Hall. Write the check-in date on the checkout sheet. Then match up the tape's call number (on the video spine label) with that number on the shelf. File the videotape in the space right above its call number.
