Admissions - Graduate Programs in Computer Science
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers both the Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) graduate degrees in computer science. Applications to the programs are handled by the UNC Graduate School, but final admissions decisions are made by the faculty in the Department of Computer Science.
Admission to the graduate programs in computer science is very competitive. Admitted students have backgrounds in a variety of disciplines, but all have a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science.
