    Maze Day

Maze Day is an event held every spring for visually impaired and blind students in grades K-12, their parents and teachers. The students enjoy a variety of accessible fun, educational, and exercise activities designed and developed especially for them by faculty and students who work in our department with Professor Gary Bishop and his enabling technology group. Volunteers usher the visiting students through the different activities, and learn how the activities developed here work with real users.

Maze Day is a special event because students come from all over the state (and sometimes farther away) to experience games and other activities they usually may not be able to participate in or enjoy fully. This is a day devoted to those students.
