Abstract
Our primary objective is to improve the image quality produced with the existing algorithm, and demonstrate on the UNC and Sandia test beds that a multiple camera system can provide a more effective and immersive group conferencing solution than a single camera. Our first priority will be to demonstrate a higher resolution, wide field-of-view display, with all participants visible in life-size and accurately positioned. Also, we will work towards simplifying the user interface in order to improve natural user interactions, making the system operational without expert or developer involvement. A direct comparison to conventional single camera systems will be interactively available to demonstrate the significant differences.
