Graduate Studies Committee (GRA)

The Graduate Studies Committee oversees certain administrative and policy aspects of the department's graduate program. The Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee is the Director of Graduate Studies. The items in the purview of this committee include

• evaluating documents proposed as satisfying the technical writing requirement
• monitoring student progress toward the graduate degrees
• evaluating and making recommendations to the Faculty regarding administrative appeals concerning graduate program matters

One graduate student is appointed to this committee for participation and voting in policy matters, but is not involved in review of individual student cases.
