Teaching Tune-Up (TTU)

The Teaching Tune-Up Committee reviews the classroom teaching of faculty members, either at their own request or at the request of the department chairman. These reviews are usually conducted in conjunction with formal reviews for reappointments, tenure cases, promotions, and official post-tenure reviews.

Faculty who have won teaching awards are likely prospects for this committee.

Two graduate students and two undergraduate students are appointed to this committee. Time requirement: About 12 hours a semester consisting of classroom visits, student and faculty interviews, and committee discussion.
