What can we learn from ubiquitous computing applications?

Abstract
Ubiquitous computing applications make computation more available in people’s everyday activities unlike previously available. Two examples from the variety of ubiquitous applications include enhancing communication between colleagues in an office environment; and improving a person’s health awareness by monitoring his/her exercise and diet. Novel technical solutions must be developed to address the specific demands of the application. This seminar reviews a variety of applications in order to motivate the design decisions of different technical solutions.
