Overview
This
course is an introduction to programming
for students with little or no programming experience. Student will be
taught
how to solve problems using fundamental programming concepts. The
concepts
include: variables, loops, conditionals, functions, arrays, and
classes. Programs
will be written in Javascript and Java (half a semester dedicated to
each). More
generally students will gain familiarity for learning other programming
languages
encountered where computers are used as tools in fields ranging from
humanities, sciences, to engineering.
