Eclipse is a powerful tool used by professional programmers all over the world. It has a great diversity of capabilities. You will need to learn only a small amount about the Java Workbench. There are two sets of tutorials to help you get started using the Java Workbench. One is a video tutorial and the other a web document. Use whichever you find more useful.
A. Video tutorial. Go to the Eclipse home page shown below.
Pick the Resources link and then Getting Started on the left hand side of the next page
Choose the first tutorial "Using the Eclipse Workbench".
B. Web Tutorial
Select "Workbench basics"
Select the "Basic tutorial"
For now, read the first two sections
The third section, "Navigating resources" will be useful in coming weeks. We can skip the rest of the tutorial.
