JuggleAnim Juggling Applet
Latest applet release: 1.1 (6/23/96)

JuggleAnim is my Java applet for animating juggling patterns. It's a little
bare-bones at the moment, but at least it's fast and will let you animate
arbitrary siteswaps.

Click here to download everything (run it
locally for faster operation).
The biggest problem people have had is that the applet is slow to load over
the net. Although the code is fairly small, it is spread over 20
class files and takes a while to load. To speed things up, download the
applet to your local system and run it locally with Netscape. An even faster
solution is to get a copy of Sun's
Java Development Kit
and view the individual pattern files with the JDK's applet viewer.
If you would like to use the applet interactively, please look at
this page written by
Joe Steger.
It has a form interface to a CGI script he wrote for creating animation web
pages on the fly. You might have to change some of his
default values to make your pattern look good (throws/sec
in
particular). If you use Joe's page quite a bit, download your own copy of
the applet to make things more efficient for everyone involved.
Many thanks to Joe for his excellent work!
Gallery of Patterns
When you load the pages below you can click on an animation to pause/unpause it.
(It will degrade performance to have too many animation applets running
simultaneously.) More patterns will be added to this list. Any requests?

JuggleMaster Patterns
Here is a selection of patterns taken from
Ken Matsuoka's excellent DOS program
JuggleMaster. They are used
here with his permission (thanks Ken!).
Some of them look odd in part because our two programs deal with holds
differently (look at the yo-yo for an
example).
