I was a graduate student in the Computer Science Department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Curriculum Vitae .
Currently I am working on non-photorealistic rendering technology at Intel Architecture Labs. A copy of our paper entitled Stylized Rendering Techniques for Scalable Real-Time Animation is available here.We will be presenting at NPAR 2000 in Annecy, France in June.
Welcome to Adam's web presence. Over five years ago I wrote my first web page, with the first hypertext resume (or so they said). Didn't bring me all the fame and riches one would like, but I had fun doing it.

Past Research

I was a research assistant for Dr. Henry Fuchs and Dr. Greg Welch, funded by the National Science Foundation's Science and Technology Center, which we call the STC. We worked on making the world a more interesting place with projects in telepresence and virtual reality. If you would like to see what I worked on several summers ago check out this.

My other research interests include (but are not limited to):
  • Artificial Life and Genetic Algorithms
  • Immersive Computing Environments
  • Real Life
  • Exploiting Java, OpenGL, and distributed systems for computer graphics tasks
  • Yeah, I worked on some missile stuff at LANL. Helps keep things in check.

    Schtuff...

    Evansville

I am originally from Pittsburgh, but consider Evansville my home town. I lived there for 8 years, attending high school at Castle High and then studied Computer Science, Math, Physics, and Philosophy at the University of Evansville.

    Portland, Oregon

Currently I live in Portland, Oregon. I have been there for a little over a year. Very beautiful, lots of trees, camping, mountain biking, road biking, snowboarding, hiking, microbreweries, music, and rain. Not in that order. Seriously, its awesome.

    Chapel Hill

I lived in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where I attended graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying computer graphics, immersive computing environments, distributed systems, and artificial life. My advisor was Dr. Henry Fuchs. I also worked closely with Dr. Greg Welch.

    Los Alamos

I lived in Los Alamos for about 15 months in 1994-1996. I found the southwest, particularly northern New Mexico, to be an amazing and beautiful place to live. A bit of trivia: Average alcohol consumption in Los Alamos is five times the annual consumption in the United States.

The Linux Home Page. Hey, seemed like a good idea!!!
