Anselmo Lastra - Medical Research Page
When I was a Duke, I worked on interpretation of Holter (ECG recorders worn
by patients for 24 hours) tapes and on simulation of cardiac
conduction. The conduction work was to try to analyze the mechanism of cardiac arrhythmias.
Most of that work was before Web publishing became prevalent,
so I don't have much to show on this page. However, have a look at Frank
Starmer's web page for some interesting stuff. Frank was my thesis
advisor. He was a professor at Duke University, but is now at the Medical
College of South Carolina. The image that probably led you to this page came
from Frank's web page and is of a phenomenon known as Torsade
de Pointes.
