Vinyl Records, Prospective Students for Hire

We are Vinyl Records, a non-profit, volunteer-based, student-run record label serving the UNC-Chapel Hill community. We are currently seeking a select number of employees as well as a web and design team so that we can be fully established before our official launch this fall. Much has already been accomplished, including securing an office in Hill Hall (room 225) and most of the company’s skeletal structure (an organizational layout, 30 page business plan), and the establishment of close relationships with many campus and community organizations. We would appreciate it if you could please recommend some of your most qualified students for our program and invite them to attend one of our informational sessions on Sunday, January 27 at either 4pm or 7pm in Murphy 116. If they cannot attend either meeting, have them email us at vinylrecords@unc.edu. Please forward this e-mail with the attached flyer to selected students. Also, if you yourself are interested, we would love for you to attend. Vinyl Records will accept applications from faculty, staff, grad, and undergrad students as this program engages the entire campus community. Below is a brief overview of our business venture. Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Al Mask and Tripp Gobble
Business Description
Vinyl Records is a music production and education venture due to begin operations in August 2008. The organization functions as a record label intended to serve the UNC-Chapel Hill community. Our goal is to provide arts-centered programs focusing on the development and promotion of student-produced music. The university does not currently offer a similar program, and Vinyl Records fills this void.
Vision and Mission Statement
Vinyl Records is a non-profit student run record label that engages the university and surrounding community through music-oriented programs and activities. By cultivating the diverse talents of UNC-Chapel Hill's student population, from artistic and technical abilities to entrepreneurial tenacity, the organization establishes a campus-based market for student performance and music production that stimulates the growth of social capital among its constituency.
