Internships in Exploratory Computer VisionA

Thomson Research, Burbank CA, conduct research in a wide variety of areas involving computer vision, image processing, and security and has multiple openings for summer internship position.

The positions in computer vision involve Research and Development in advanced 3D reconstruction, camera calibration and augmented reality. Interns will work as part of a small team on research problems involving enhancing the visual quality and the accuracy of the reconstruction process.

The successful candidate should be advanced in their PhD studies, but graduate students with exceptional skill levels will also be strongly considered. Candidate should have good experience in one or more of the following fields: 3D computer vision, depth map extraction, feature detection and tracking, multiview geometry, camera calibration and augmented reality. 3+ years programming experience in C++/MATLAB required.

Start time: May/June 2008
Period: 3-5 months
