Software Development Engineer – Device Drivers and Compilers

Roles and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with a team of software engineers, hardware designers, to design, implement, and maintain kernel software
· Expected to have a passion for writing software, have a knack for finding innovative solutions to complex problems, and have a firm grasp of fundamental computer science concepts
· Utilize multiple platforms for low level device driver development
· Perform routine unit tests and provide expertise in analyzing relatively complex problems at the system level
· Demonstrate a high degree of experience in scalable software design for multi-processors, multi-processes, and multi-thread systems
· Continue to improve the quality of the software for commercial use
Required Skills:
* BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years experience in software engineering or PHD
· The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in C/C++, kernel and driver code development, compiler experience, and a strong knowledge of computer architecture, and processor architecture
* You need to have an ability to design and specify new software features from the ground up, experience in a complete development cycle and a release of at least one commercial product
* Experience with multiple operating systems – Linux, Windows, UNIX
* Proven ability to deliver commercial enterprise quality software, and understanding of system architecture, including networking and storage
* Self-motivated and capable of handling rapid change in a dynamic and results-oriented environment
Preferred Skills:
* Successful start-up experience
* Experience with U-boot development
* PHD in computer science
