Member of Research Staff Planning & Scheduling - Embedded Reasoning Area
We invite applications from candidates with research interests in artificial intelligence planning and scheduling. Desired backgrounds include planning and scheduling, search, optimization, diagnosis, and knowledge representation. A PhD or substantial relevant experience is required.
The Embedded Reasoning Area (ERA) is a growing group of researchers in artificial intelligence (AI), control and optimization. The group specializes in the design and prototype implementation of solutions to practical real-world problems using cutting edge techniques from planning, scheduling, control, optimization, search, diagnosis, distributed systems, networked environments, estimation, model based reasoning, modular reconfigurable systems, probabilistic modeling and machine learning. Our work covers many layers of R&D, ranging from abstract model formulation all the way down to embedded software implementation on real physical hardware platforms. We emphasize general scalable model based approach in our solutions and a central theme in the group is to tackle projects that require very tight integration of the technologies mentioned above. For more information, please see www.parc.com/era.
The Intelligent Systems Lab imagines and delivers core technologies for helping people to perceive, reason, and interact in a complex world. We provide opportunities and support for bringing visionary ideas to commercial realization.
