Welcome!
I am currently a
postdoctoral researcher in the biostatistics department, University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill.
My mentors are Dr. Fred Wright
and Dr. Fei Zou. I completed my
Ph.D. study in Dec. 2006 under the supervision of Dr. Wei Wang in the Department of
Computer Science.
My general research
interests lie in the areas of data mining and Bioinformatics. I am
currently involved in a statistical genetics project for developing a fast
and accurate approximation of statistical QTL methods in order to achieve
efficient genome-wide eQTL
analysis. My Ph.D. research focused
on clustering and its application in gene expression data analysis.
Two other beautiful
places I also studied at are the University of Virginia, at Charlottesville and Peking
University in Beijing,
China,
where I obtained my M.S. degree in Computer Science in 2001 and my B.S. in
Computer Science in 1999 respectively.
