Silk paintings are difficult to photograph well: before they are framed, the colours aren't as vibrant (they need something behind the silk), and after they are framed, the glass creates glare and reflections. Nevertheless, here are some of my silk paintings.
At my skill level, my acrylic paintings are more of a craft than an art, but I thought I'd be generous with myself. I've been experimenting with acrylics as a weekend diversion, and don't claim to be at all good. View at your own risk.
Plaid Gallery Glass paint is fun to play with. I've been making "stained glass" for my apartment, as well as some smaller items for gifts.
I've been having problems staying awake during lectures (no matter how interesting they are), and keeping my hands busy helps me stay awake. My advisor suggested knitting. I thought crocheting was better suited for bringing to class (using one short hook instead of two or more long needles, and having fewer loops to drop), so I went out and bought some yarn, hooks, and an instruction booklet. After making more than 37 potholders for friends and family, I decided to branch out. Here are some of the items I've made so far.
