Team Evaluation
Please write a thoughtful evaluation
of how well your team worked together. Evaluate yourself, the
other team members, and the team as a whole. Identify the issues
that arose as a group and any individual issues that rose. Please
be as constructive as possible in your criticisms. I would like
your honest opinion about how the project worked. I am interested
in your evaluation in terms of technical skills, organizational skills,
communications skills, and interpersonal skills. It is often
useful to identify what you would do differently if you had the
semester to do over; this makes you think concretely about what went
wrong.
This is a strictly confidential
document and will not be shared with anyone.
Finally, because people use language
in different ways, I ask for some specific numeric evaluations.
1. Rate each of your team members,
including yourself, on
(a) technical
ability
(b) technical
contribution
(c) organizational
skills
(d) team
participation
Use a 1-5 ranking where
5 = outstanding
4 = very
satisfactory
3 = OK
2 = needs
improvement
1 = bad news
2. Given $10,000 (Monopoly) to
distribute among the team, allocate the share that you would give each
member, including yourself.
Evaluations
are due by email by 4:00 p.m. on May 1. While this is not
a graded assignment, it is your chance to give me input toward final
grades. I do not use any single evaluation to determine
contribution. I look at these evaluations, my own observations,
and the feedback that I get from clients. Please take this
evaluation seriously.
