Academic interests.
I like programming. Systems software design is what fascinates me. Networking, distributed systems, and operating systems are my fields of interests. Having taken several courses back in India and here at UNC, I have a good foundation in these areas. My summer internship at Bell Labs, Lucent Tech during the period Jun-Aug 99 was an extremely satisfying experience. An abstract of my work and talk can be obtained here. I worked at the Network Software Research Department, headed by Dr. Chandra M. R. Kintala.

I am finishing my academic career with a Masters in Computer Science. Having given a long thought upon pursuing a PhD, I decided to graduate with a Masters. But, if life permits, I think I will be back to school for a PhD...... Check out oppurtunities at UNC-CH to do a PhD. Here's a guide on how to a do a PhD. However one must remember that, the only way to find out howto do a PhD is to do one. Therefore, all advice is useless.
