I belong to a family of five: my parents, my brother Swadhin, my sister Sangeetha and myself. I am the youngest, and am pampered a lot at home. My sister is married, and has two cute sons: Ankeeth and Atul. My brother completed his MBA from XIM, Bhubaneshwar, got married in Dec 2002 and is currently working in Bangalore.

I was born and brought up in a small coastal town called Berhampur in the eastern state of Orissa, India. I speak telugu and oriya at home. I performed reasonably well in my 10th and my 12th. By a stroke of luck and some hard work, I landed up at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Since finishing up with my bachelors in Computer Science & Engineering in the year 1998, I have been living in the United States. My Masters at UNC Chapel Hill in Computer Science was an extremely satisfying experience.

I listen to music most of the time. Old hindi film music, Gulzar-RD Burman melodies, and soulful south Indian film music are among my favorites. I also love movies, hindi, telugu and english. I have tried several sports in my past. Among the most challenging was field hockey. Currently, I am into squash & racquetball. Hope I will stay fit and play regularly in my future. And yes, I love travelling.
