Term Project

Overview
For the term project, you will be part of a two-person team. One person will argue for one point of view on the controversial subject, while the other person will take an opposing view. You cannot both argue for the same side. Your grade will reflect how well your perform individually and as part of your team. Grading rubrics, project parts, due dates and some helpful links will be provided here.

The project consists of two main parts parts; a term paper (with various thiings to turn in first) and a 30-minute team presentation. Due dates will be posted on the course schedule, and also in the term project parts page.

** Find all parts of the term project here.

Asking others for help
Aside from your T.A., the Writing Center, and your own team members, you are also allowed to run your ideas, your outline, a draft of your paper, ideas for your presentation, etc. etc. by anyone else in the class. Ask them to play devil's advocate and find any weaknesses. (Of course, only the actual presenting and writing team itself will receive academic credit.) You can learn a lot from your classmates, so take advantage. And if you are asked to serve, take your job seriously.
