Ryan N. McKenzie (UNC-CH Computer Science) Department of
Computer Science

I am a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at UNC Chapel Hill and a native of Kentucky. I earned my computer science bachelor's in 2002 and master's in 2005, both at UK in Lexington, KY. After that, I taught as a CS instructor at UK for three years. I have always been a big fan of UNC Tarheels football and basketball (unless they are playing UK -- GO CATS!). My wife, Leann, and I moved to Chapel Hill in June 2008, but we have been traveling to this beautiful state for many years. We feel priviledged and blessed to call North Carolina our new home since we love to travel and many of our favorite places are here in NC.

Picture(s) of the Month

Look at all the fun we had last Halloween! (Yes, we know, we are freaks)

The first prop we buit three years ago, a pneumatic coffin complete with pop-up corpse!

We built this guy two years ago, he claws at the ground ant tries to grab ankles...

We built two of these floating ghosts last year, they are so spooky in the dark.

And no Halloween is complete without a territorial cannibal pumpkin wielding a butter knife!

Here are our good friends and their kids getting into the act.

Batman and Optimus Prime, now those are some awesome costumes!
