Sharif Razzaque

I've recently completed my PhD Dissertation, Redirected Walking, which basically involves fooling a person to walk in a circle while she thinks she's walking in a straight line.

I'm currently doing interface design and engineering for medical imaging tools. I've had the pleasure of working on lots of things with many wonderful people:

• Virtual Environments, Mobile devices, and Physiological Monitoring with the UNC-CS EVE group and University College London's VE group;
• Simulator sickness and Vestibular prostheses with Univ. of Washington's HIT lab;
• Collaborative Engineering tools for Satellites at Lockheed Martin; and
• Cochlear Prostheses at Univ. Of Michigan's Kresge Hearing Research Lab.

My interests are user-interfaces for software, hardware and even things without computers (cars, buildings, watches, etc.), virtual environments, and mobile devices. I'm also fond of downhill skiing, cooking (and eating), photography, and pranks of all sorts.
