Travel: Section One
I travelled to Nepal in May 2002. I had been to the Himalayas earlier
but always wanted to see the tallest peak on earth with my own eyes. I
trekked to Everest base camp and went up the Gokyo valley. Someone had
said about the Himalayas - when you stare at a beautiful, monstrous and
towering piece of rock you feel as if God had to exist. The mountains were
awesome, difficult to describe in words or pictures for that matter.
