Product Description back next User Manual

The Atomic Force Microscope Simulator (AFMS) is designed to replicate the actions and abilities of a true AFM. This means the the nanoScope sytem can funtion without any physical microscope being available. The simulator will respond to Microscape grahpics engine software commands and return values representative of those that the real microscope would return. The AFMS has the capability to not only simulate previously scanned surfaces, but also to create a surface based on a wide variety of mathematical equations. One of the most important features of the software is that it will allow the user of Microscape, with a PHANToM force feedback device, to actualy manipulate the surface being represented in the simulator just as they would on the true AFM.
