IRIS 2000, 3-D Medical Data Visualization

Weekly Reports

Week of April 10 - April 16

Highlights:

We demoed the current version of the IRIS2000 system to Dr. Stotts on Wednesday evening. We showed the system running on the Sun platform. Dr. Stotts said that we were making sufficient enough progress that we didn't need to demo again until the in-class presentation.

Ashraf and Amy are working on the Vtk pipeline to accomplish smoothing (both of the image and the 3D mesh) and triangle reduction on the mesh. They are currently working on the user interface to be able to change the input parameters to the pipeline dynamically.

Sean is working on coloring structures according to their labels. He is also working on being able to select which structures to display in 3D. These two tasks are closely related.

Ming and Robin are working on the cut-planes implementation.

All subgroups are to update the technical manual as they make changes to specific sections of the code.
