IRIS 2000, 3-D Medical Data Visualization
Week of March 27-April 2
We discussed with Guido the details of the smoothing functionality and
the options for implementation that are possible, and the benifits or compromises
that are involved with each of them (speed, ease of use by the user, ease
of implementation.) Both the single pipeline and the branched pipeline
(for flexibility) were discussed, however more research may need to be
done to see the slowdown in speed and complexity in coding.
Design of Smoothing Functionality
NT build stable
User Manual overhaul
Ming, Amy and Ashraf were able to get the NT builds up and running.
One of the problems was solved by copying the vtkdll.dll to the system32
directory of the local machine. Sean completed some updates to the
file i/o, which required more code modifications than originally anticipated,
and GUI modifications are stable on all platforms.
User Manual was assigned to Ming and Robin to reorganize and get up
to standards. Subgroups are still going through design decisions
this week, however looks like all the requirements (stable code base, working
on all platforms) are in place in time for coding.
Next Week's Goals:
Project subgroups will arrange their own working group meetings.
