Panorama from the Christchurch Botanic Gardens

In the center of a circular rose garden in the Botanic Gardens I made a 13-image panorama using our Canon PowerShot S110 camera in panorama mode, and then the awesome DoubleTake panorama software for Mac OS X. Below are some different sized JPEG versions of the panorama.

Here is a QuickTime VR "movie" version of the panorama. (If you don't have it, you will need to download and install QuickTime to view it.)

Note that the QTVR "seam" (last to first) is abrupt because I (apparently) missed an image near the end. If you look closely you will also see a "ghost" person—someone who appeared in one image but not the next (they were walking).
