I received the B.E. degrees in both mechanical engineering and computer science and Ph.D. degree in mechatronics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2001 and 2007, respectively, and M.A. degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA, in 2011. I received Distinguished Alumni Award conferred by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission in 2001 and 2007, respectively. Between 2007 and 2009 I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore. Now I am with Disney Research Pittsburgh as a Research Associate. My current research interests include locomotion generation and control of humanoid robots, grasping and fixturing, and computational geometry and its applications to robotics.
