Approximations to GPS
Like to service packets according to GPS completion times
But, cannot compute the exact GPS finish-time “on-line”
Why? ---
- packets that haven’t arrived yet
Example: (normalized weights and packet sizes)
Work-conserving ==> Cannot schedule connection 3 first
Not much we can do with packets that haven’t arrived yet...
