Generalized service curves
Permit the service curves to be other than just a straight line
As in GPS: define service share, and compute delay properties
Formally, a connection i is said to be guaranteed a service curve Si(.) if, for any time t when connection i is backlogged, there exists a t’ < t which is the beginning of some backlogged period of i , such that wi(t’, t) ? Si (t’,t)
- Si(.) should be non-decreasing
- For packet-scheduling, restrict t to departure-times of packets
