Spring Picnic
Members of the UNC CS Department are invited to the Spring Picnic. Food, drinks, and picnic supplies are provided. You are encouraged to bring dishes, such as sides, finger foods, and desserts. No alcohol is allowed at Chapel Hill public parks.

Homestead Park 
In North Chapel Hill, off Martin Luther King (formerly Airport)

Volunteers are needed to help shop for food, setup, cooking, and cleanup. Please email Russ Gayle at rgayle@cs.unc.edu to volunteer.

To Homestead Park
From Sitterson Hall take Martin Luther King Rd. North, pass Estes Dr. until you reach Homestead Rd. Make a left onto Homestead Rd. The Airport Rd. and Homestead Rd. is a large intersection with traffic lights and multiple lanes. On Homestead Rd. the second right is the entrance to Homestead Park. On Homestead Rd. there are several signs for the park. The road to the park is approx 500 m and ends in a parking lot.

To the picnic shelter
From the parking lot follow the short walking path into the trees. The shelter is between the trees close to the two softball fields and children’s playground.
