Lin Tian

Lin Tian

Lin Tian is a fifth year PhD student at UNC Chapel Hill working on medical image analysis under the supervision of Prof. Marc Niethammer. Before coming to UNC, she obtained her M.S. from University of Southern California (USC) and B.S. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).

Her research interests broadly lie in computer vision (2D and 3D), medical imaging and machine learning.

  • Robust and generalizable deep learning for medical image registration
    • Reduce the bias of the registration neural network caused by the transformation model.
    • Develop the universal registration neural network that is general to different modalities, anatomical regions, and motion patterns.
    • Explore registration methods given ambiguious informaiton.
  • Multi-modality joint representation learning for medical images.
  • Dynamic subject 3D reconstruction from 2D images or videos (2D tomosynthesis images, ultrasound images and RGBD images)
