What was the problem?
Fik := max(Fik-1, aik) + Lik / ?i
- We’re penalizing pik because pik-1 used idle bandwidth
Could try Fik := aik + Lik / ?i
- doesn’t penalize pik when pik-1 uses (non-)idle excessive bandwidth
Back to “pure” GPS:
- Due to future arrivals, we cannot determine the completion time of currently present packets
- Would like a function V(t) which states:
- At (real) time t, we’re doing what we estimated we’d be doing at time V(t)
