Through Deaf Eyes
THROUGH DEAF EYES is a two-hour HDTV documentary that explores 200 years of Deaf life in America. It will take us most of 2 classes to watch it. I hope it will further illuminate the discussion we began after Sound and Fury.

Through Deaf Eyes was a very interesting movie. I really enjoyed the intertwined short films and I thought they really emphasized the points in the previous parts. The movie will add many ideas and depth to my paper.

I agree…. I truly didn’t realize that deaf people were thought of as lower class citizens. They had to fight for rights like every other group! It is amazing how certain aspects of our past culture is conveniently left out of our history textbooks. Of course we learn about the African-American rights fight and other fights like it, but I have never learned about deaf culture before! I really liked this movie.
