New LITMUSRT Release

LITMUSRT 2011.1 has been released. Among other changes, LITMUSRT has been rebased to Linux kernel version 2.6.36 and now supports the ARM CPU architecture. More information is available at the LITMUSRT website.

Best Paper Award

Björn Brandenburg and James H. Anderson won the best student paper award for their paper entitled “Optimality Results for Multiprocessor Real-Time Locking” at the 31st IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium in San Diego, CA. Congratulations!

Google has announced a new release of LinSched (the Linux Schedule Simulator), originally created by recent graduate John Calandrino.

Prof. Sanjoy Baruah is co-organizing the workshop Real-time systems on multicore platforms: Theory and Practice. The workshop, which is part of ICPP 2009, will be held in Vienna on September 22.
