Final Exam

In our normal class room, 180 mins nominal (3 hours).
A well prepared student should be able to finish in about 2 hours.
Exam format:
The exam will be in-class, closed notes, closed book, closed phone,
closed smart watches, closed calculators, closed implanted internet-enabled
brain chips, closed neighbors and friends, open your brain.
It will be pledged work. You may not be in communication with
others while you are working on the exam.
You also may not be in communication with others after the exam
as some may be taking the exam later due to unusual circumstances.
We will close Piazza for a time during and after the exam
to help everyone remember to not discuss the work after.
Materials to study: (this is a help, not a guarantee)

all class material (text links, PPT, zoom meetings, etc.)
The final exam covers the entire class, including materials covered on
the midterm, but will more heavily test material that was not covered
on the midterm exam.

To use them you will need to select
questions that relate to our studies this semester and ignore
questions on topics we did not cover.
Midterm Exam
Tue, Oct. 11
In class time (9:30 am), in the class room, 75 mins to complete the exam.
Exam format:
The exam will be in-class, closed notes, closed book, closed phone,
closed smart watches, closed implanted internet-enabled
brain chips, closed neighbors and friends, open your brain.
All work will be done on paper.
It will be pledged work. You may not be in communication with
others while you are working on the exam.
I will supply the exam paper (no blue books needed), and all answers you
want graded must be written on the exam paper.
You may have a few sheets of blank paper for scratch work but
do not turn that in with the exam.
There is blank paper with the exam pages (backs of pages).
You will write your name and PID on the first page (top) of the exam,
and also write your name on all other pages. These instructions
will be on the exam and will be repeated at the start of the exam.
Materials to study: (this is a help, not a guarantee)

all class material (links, text book readings, PPTs, lectures, polleverywhere
questions, etc.) up to and including Binary Search Tree (not balanced),
and sorting with a basic (not being balanced) BST (worst case and average case).
